semsEarth · The commons

The soil belongs to all of us.
So does what we learn from it.

semsAgriculture is our commercial engine. semsEarth is where everything it learns is turned into free service: education, resource optimization and clear multiple-choice decisions for small-scale and hobby growers. Our homeland first — then the whole world's relationship with soil.

Free, forever

No account, no fee, no catch. This is a pledge, not a promotion.

Evidence-backed

Every suggestion carries its reason — the same rules that run our commercial engine.

For the small grower

A balcony pot counts. A backyard counts. Growing is growing.

Decision helper

Three questions. Clear choices.

Answer with your eyes and hands — no sensors needed. You get options, not orders: each one says why, and the final call is always yours.

1 · What do you grow?

2 · How does the soil feel?

Finger test: push 5 cm in and trust what you feel.

3 · Next 24 hours?

Answer all three to see your options.

Resource optimization

How much water, exactly?

Every drop is accounted for. Tell us your growing area and we turn the soil reading into liters — with the formula in the open, because claims you cannot audit are claims you should not trust.

Balcony ≈ 3 · backyard ≈ 25 · smallholding ≈ 1000+

Pick your crop and soil state above — the math appears here.

Grow school

Six lessons every grower deserves

No jargon, no equipment list, no paywall. The fundamentals that make the biggest difference, in the order they matter.

🖐️

Read your soil by hand

Push a finger 5 cm in. Dusty and loose means thirsty; cool and springy means fine. Cracked surface means water has been needed for days. The best sensor you own is free.

Why it matters: Most overwatering starts with guessing.

🌅

Water early, water deep

Water before 9 in the morning so it reaches roots instead of evaporating. Fewer, deeper waterings beat daily sprinkles: roots grow down toward moisture and the plant becomes drought-tough.

Why it matters: Midday watering can lose a third to evaporation.

🍂

Mulch is free savings

A 5 cm layer of straw, leaves or wood chips over the root zone keeps moisture in and weeds out. It is the cheapest irrigation upgrade there is — often cutting water need by a quarter.

Why it matters: Bare soil loses water all day long.

🔍

Scout before you spray

Walk your plants twice a week and look under the leaves. Catching pests or mildew early means a targeted response instead of blanket spraying — cheaper for you, kinder to the soil.

Why it matters: Early detection halves intervention cost.

🔄

Rotate and rest the soil

Do not plant the same family in the same spot two seasons in a row. Rotation breaks pest cycles and balances what each crop takes from the soil. Even a balcony pot benefits from fresh mix.

Why it matters: Tired soil grows tired plants.

📓

Keep a one-line diary

One line a week: what you watered, what you saw, what you picked. Next season you will thank yourself — patterns you can't remember are patterns you can't use.

Why it matters: Records turn seasons into knowledge.

Why free?

Because the data came from the soil in the first place.

Commercial farms pay for the heavy machinery of semsAgriculture — the drones, the sensor fusion, the fleet automation. What their fields teach the engine about water, weather and soil becomes common knowledge here. That is the deal we made with ourselves: the mechanism earns, the commons serves.

We want to fix how our homeland relates to its soil first — then help the whole world do the same.
